HATHA YOGA | YIN YOGA
Hello, I’m Shane and I’m a 200hr multi-style registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals. I approach yoga with the understanding that if you can say yoga, you can practice it. I believe yoga is your personal journey and when you come to your mat, you do so to connect with and focus on yourself.
Here at the Joinery I’ll be guiding you through a Hatha Yoga Class and a Yin Yoga class each week.
In Hatha we will explore a sequence, holding postures for around a minute in order to discuss alignment and really feel the benefits of the posture. In Yin, we will surrender to postures for around three to four minutes, working into our connective tissues whilst looking inwards and exploring different aspect of our minds and thoughts.
Each class will be open level and accessible to everyone, meaning they will be comfortable enough for complete beginners whilst still providing a challenge for more experienced yogis. The classes will contain sequences written with specific themes in mind to explore as we practice, offering a perfect balance between physical postures and quieter moments of mindfulness and calm.
